Leif Olav has worked within the maritime industry his whole career.
Since joining The Club in 2017, he has been advising clients globally in his role in the Loss Prevention and Emergency Response team. Since 2020 he has been leading the Marine Claims Team in Bergen responsible for Norwegian Hulls Clubs marine portfolio in Asia, Northeast Europe as well as the Americas region and the coast of Norway.
Prior to The Club, Leif Olav has had several management roles at CGG, a global service provider of geophysical services to the oil and gas industry, including Regional Acquisition Manager for Europe, Africa, Middle East. In this position, he was responsible for the operational management of survey vessels operating in the region as well as the shore-based management in Norway and France. Leif Olav was working in the oil and gas segment for almost 15 years both on- and offshore.
Educated to Master Mariner (BSc) through Royal Norwegian Navy and University of East Norway servicing in the Royal Navy on Frigates. Leif Olav also holds an MSc in Shipping, Trade and Finance from Cass Business Schools, City University, London.
