James is an environmental engineer by training and first joined Oil Spill Response Limited (OSRL) as a Spill Responder in 2013. In his career with OSRL, James responded to numerous oil spills incidents within Asia Pacific region, in countries such as Papua New Guinea, India, Singapore etc., and took on various roles from leading in-field operations to advising clients in the incident command. After spending time in Operations, he took on the role of Senior Preparedness Solutions Advisor in 2019 and was instrumental in securing various key preparedness projects including one with the government of Lao PDR on the development of oil spill response capability in ports along the Mekong River. He now brings along an array of experience in oil spill preparedness and response into his current role, as OSRL’s Regional Engagement Lead in Asia Pacific Region, to foster collaboration between key stakeholders and promote the use of industry good practices within the Asia- Pacific Region.
