Hakirat Singh is a seasoned marine insurance and claims specialist with over 30 years of experience in the shipping and maritime industry. A Master Mariner and legal consultant, he has extensive expertise in P&I, Hull & Machinery, and marine casualty investigations. He is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (FCIArb) and has advised shipowners, charterers, insurers, and P&I Clubs on complex claims, risk management strategies, and dispute resolution.

Hakirat has contributed to Halsbury’s Laws of Singapore and serves as an arbitrator on the SCMA and other regional panels, bringing a unique blend of seagoing, legal, and insurance perspectives to maritime risk assessment.
