Divas Panjwani is a Syndicate Underwriter at Sukoon Syndicate 2880 (Lloyd’s), where he leads the International Marine Hull and Liabilities business. He is responsible for underwriting strategy and portfolio expansion across key global markets, with a clear focus on disciplined risk selection, sustainable growth, and long-term profitability. He is a Chartered Insurer (ACII), Fellow of the Insurance Institute of India (FIII), and Senior Associate of The Australian and New Zealand Institute of Insurance and Finance.

With over 12 years of specialized experience in marine (re)insurance, Divas has built and managed Marine Hull, War, P&I, and Marine Liability portfolios across Europe, the UK, Asia-Pacific, South America, and the GCC.

A graduate of the National Insurance Academy, India, holding a Master’s degree in Insurance, Risk Management, and Finance, he began his career underwriting international treaty and facultative reinsurance with India’s national reinsurer. He subsequently held marine underwriting roles in Oman before advancing to international portfolio management with a leading Kuwait-based reinsurer, overseeing diversified Hull and Liability portfolios and strengthening global broker and cedant relationships.

Prior to joining Sukoon Syndicate 2880, he led the growth of Marine Hull, Liability, and international reinsurance portfolios at Emirates Insurance Company across the GCC and global markets.

He is recognized for combining technical underwriting rigor with commercial acumen, consistently delivering resilient portfolios, sustainable growth, and long-term value to clients and brokers worldwide.
