Alex Lim is currently the Senior Underwriter, Hull and Liability with QBE Asia and is responsible for underwriting and managing a portfolio of marine risks from Asia.

He has been with QBE for 12 years and prior to joining them, he has spent 5 years working with one of the international brokers as a Marine Broker handling all marine lines such as H&M, P&I, Marine Liabilities and Marine Cargo.

He first started his career with one of the largest logistic providers in the world handling their insurance program and claims in Asia for 2 years.

He holds a Bachelor of Science (Second Upper Honours) in Business Management from the University of Bradford (UK), Diploma from the Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) and Postgraduate Diploma in Marine Insurance Law and Practice from World Maritime University.

He is also part of the organising committee working together with GIA for IUMI 2025 which will take place in Singapore.
